CPAM registration

Greetings,
About two weeks ago I sent the full CPAM folder through LaPoste to the CPAM in Evry Essone, I have yet to receive any information, if it has arrived, if everything was well done etc etc. As a foreign citizen who recently migrated here, I don't want to live with the fear, if something happens to me - which is a realistic risk in my job - that I am not health covered in case of an accident because of french bureaucracy (I will not waste any gray matter on the fact that in the 21st century an official french translated birth certificate is required nor that it has to be sent by mail like we live in the 19th century). The bare minimum that can be done after this amount of trouble in a first world country is some information by email or phone that the documents were indeed received and that the file is being processed (I will again decide not to waste gray matter on the fact that it takes so much time to process, maybe because the Essone department is only open 4 times per week and for 7:15 hours when it "works"?). So at the very least if it is not done by the allegedly very busy (in not doing its job properly) CPAM , can we at least call someone to verify that everything is actually in order and we can at least know that we can expect to receive a Carte Vitale eventually? Because all of my attempts to call the english speaking department were not successful. Thank you in advance.
P.S. I hope that the person responsible for this page can reply in english.

Hello NikodimMont,

The processing time depends on the number of files being received by your caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM).

As we do not have access to your file, I advise you to contact a counselor about your application to health insurance. The line can be busy due to an important amount of calls, I recomend calling when opening, between 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.

Some birth certificates must ve translated, some don't. You can read this topic called "Translation of birth certificate" to know more.

Have a nice day.

No they don’t have time to waste for that.because they receive thousand of document each day. Not only yours.

2 weeks is short specially in your region.

Just learn to wait and be patient.

And about your lesson of sending by mail etc, you should know that mail are the best way to get hacked and that all your information are in dark web. So cpam protect your data. Be happy.

You are covered since the first day of your work. So if something happens to you, you will be covered.

You can call your cpam to know how long it will be but be ready: in some département you have to wait 2/3 months.
