How to get my Vitale card

First of all, you cannot create your online account by yourself if you do not have yet a carte Vitale and/or if your social security number is not certified.

To make sure that your social security number is permanent and certified, and obtain a temporary password to access your ameli account, you should first contact a caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) adviser.

If you can speak French or can call us with someone who can translate for you, you can contact the French speaking line dialling 36 46.

If you only speak English, we suggest you contact the English speaking line on 09 74 75 36 46 during low-traffic hours, between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Once you have created your ameli account, you can order your "carte Vitale" by following the instructions provided in this topic entitled: "How to order my carte Vitale ?".
