Carte Vitale delay

I have received my Carte Vitale and registered, but, my wife has only received her attestation and SS number, but nothing more with regards to Carte Vitale and password etc. Who do we have to contact as we applied and received attestation and social number both at same time. Thanks.

Hello RTFRANCE2026,

First of all, your wife can have an access to her ameli account and obtain her carte Vitale only if she has a permanent social security number.

To check if her social security number is permanent and certified, she can contact a caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) adviser.

If she can speak French or can call us with someone who can translate for her, she can contact the French speaking line dialling 36 46.

If she only speaks English, we suggest that she contacts the English speaking line on 09 74 75 36 46 during low-traffic hours, between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
