Never received my "carte europeenne d'assurance maladie

Hello

I worked in France last year on a ship on Seine. I spend there the period between March and September. During that time my employer never provided me my social security number there, it's not listed in my payslips either. Now my health insurance in Bulgaria is canceled and to renew it I need to provide here my social number in France and the exact institution its been paid to. I contacted my employer one month ago and the answer is always "we forwarded your email to the hrs" . I asked them at least to give me the name of the institution or my U1 formular..... and nothing. I will be very thankful if somebody can help me!!

Hello Marina,

To check if your employer has arranged for you to be registered in the French healthcare system, I advise you to contact the caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) in the area where you were resident at the time of your employment contract. If you were a boatman/boatwoman, you should be registered to the CPAM in Rouen (Seine Maritime) the health system for boatman. If you were employed, then you have to be affiliated with your local insurance fund, where you lived.

For that, I advise you read this topic named :How to call the French Health Insurance Advice Lines?

To know more about applications for people who work in France with a French contract, I suggest you to read this topic entitled: "How to be covered if I am working with a French contract ?" which outlines the documents requested in order to register with the health insurance scheme.

Have a nice day.
