I cannot create my Ameli Account

When i try to create my ameli account i recieve this message "Your current situation does not allow you to immediately create your ameli account. Thank you kindly :" How to resolve this issue.

Bonjour Shilpa Desu,

Social security number is 13 digits + 2 digits key.

When the social security number starts by 7 or 8, it means that it's a temporary one. You only can open an ameli account (the account you tried to log in from the main website ameli.fr) with a permanent social security number (starting by 1 or 2).

If you have a permanent social security number and cannot apply through ameli like this : "la création immédiate du compte ameli", you can also apply through the FranceConnect application with others user's credentials, like tax office for example.

I have the exact same issue as described above: having filled out *all* the necessary fields in order to create my compte ameli, I receive a message saying 'Votre situation actuelle ne vous permet pas de créer immédiatement votre compte ameli.'

To clarify: i) yes, I *do* have a permanent social security number which starts with 2; and ii) no, I *cannot* use the FranceConnect as it requires information I do not yet possess as I haven't lived in France long enough.

I tried calling the English speaking helpline several times but it seems to be disconnected for some time now; I also called the French helpline, who told me they would transfer me to the English helpline, but that call got disconnected too (presumably, because the English line no longer functions at all?).

Can you please explain this situation? When can we expect this to be sorted?

Due to the current situation, the English speaking line is not available. If you can't apply through FranceConnect and if your situation is really urgent, I advise you to contact the French line (by dialing 36 46) with the help of a friend.

thank you for your reply.

I have noticed a lot of people on here are reporting the exact same problem: Could you please clarify if this is a temporary issue with your system (and, if so, when can we expect it to be solved), or is it actually no longer possible to create an ameli account online? (I believe you do not need to retrieve any personal information to answer this question, since it is clearly the same issue for numerous people who are entering correct data and getting the same error message)

I understand that the helpline is very busy and should therefore be reserved for urgent requests, so perhaps instead of advising people to call the helpline number you could check if this is a technical issue and, if so, whether anyone is working on fixing it?

No, there are no technical issues on the account, for this reason it's necessary to have access to your file. If it's not urgent i advise you to wait.
