Birth certificate details

To apply for your social security number, you must provide a copy of your birth certificate in your original language and its translation done by on official translator.

You can find a translator in your area checking this page from the Cour de Cassation : "Trouver un expert agréé ou un traducteur agréé"

Moreover, as you can see on this board from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, your birth certifcate has to be legalized by the consulate or embassy of your country of origin in France.

Finally, it does not matter if the adresses do not match. Just make sure that the one you will give for your application is the one where you can collect the letters that your "caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM)" will send to you.
