Resident in France without Social Security Number

I have been resident in France for a few years with an Irish Passport but I never registered for a Social Security Number as I thought the Passport was enough.

I don't know the exact date of my arrival, as it was all very confusing as I was back and fourth to the UK throughout the COVID pandemic.

On the form S1106 where it states Arrival Date, is it ok to put in an estimate?
Also, is it a major concern that I am only applying now for Social Security Number?

If you are not able to give the exact date of your arrival in France, you should provide the closest possible date on the S1106 form.

Yes it doesn’t matter if the date is not correct. The importance is that you have to be in France since more than 3 months.

And no, there is no issue that you are applying only now.
But if you have had healthcare expenses, you will only be able to claim reimbursement for the last two years, not the previous one. For this you must also have the « feuille de soins » filled by the doctors, pharmacy…
