How to register my baby's birth?

If your baby was born in France and is declared at your city hall, you will need to register his/her birth to your CPAM, either:

•    through your ameli account under the section “Mes démarches” > “Déclaration du nouveau-né” if you use the app or if you use the web version, it will be under the section "Démarches > Modifier vos informations personnelles > Déclarer une naissance." This will allow you to register your baby on the other parent’s file. Before doing this step online, make sure you use the french version of your ameli account.

•    by mail, after filling out the S3705 form (“Application to add minor children to one or both parents’ insurance accounts”).
