l'Assurance Maladie

Letter from L’assurance Maladie, asking my IBAN after I sent medical bills by post. I want an email address to contact.

I received a letter by post from L’assurance Maladie asking for my IBAN, but I am unsure to trust it. I can send a copy of this letter via email. I was sick when travelling in France a few months ago. I sent my pharmacy and doctor appointments
receipts/paperwork by post along with a copy of my European blue insurance card. I can email my IBAN if you can confirm that the letter which I received is legitimate. But first, I want and need an email address to contact. I can’t find any email adress/contact or help on the website and I do not have a mobile to ring the company. Thanks in advance!

Hello Sophie,

To be reimbursed from your medical expense with your EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), the caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) needs the following documents:

  • a copy of your EHIC,
  • a copy of your passport,
  • your postal address,
  • your IBAN information,
  • the invoices or feuilles de soins.

The CPAM address can be found on ameli.fr, section "Adresses et Contacts".

For further information, you can call the CPAM’s English speaking line. Dial 0 811 36 36 46 (from France) or +33 811 36 36 46 (from abroad). You can also contact the French speaking line, dial 36 46.

I wish you a nice day.
