Hello genome,

As a Talent Visa holder, you have to provide some documents.

In order to be covered in France and receive a french social security number, you have to send the following documents to the CPAM (caisse primaire d'assurance maladie) of Paris :

- The form S1106 "Application for membership in the french health care system",

- A copy of your passport,

- A copy of your visa or titre de séjour,

- A copy of your birth certificate translated into french (long version with your parents' name),

- One utility bill,

- A RIB (bank account details),

- if you are working as a "passport talent", please enclose a copy of your work contract.

You have to send all these documents to the CPAM of Paris to this following address :

Assurance maladie de Paris

SRI /talents

75948 Paris Cedex 19

All these information are also available on our website ameli, section "Vous êtes travailleur détaché en France".

If you don't have a French work contract, you have to submit your application form to your local CPAM's office.

You can find your CPAM's address on our website ameli.fr, in "Adresses et Contacts".

Have a nice day.

Hello,

I am PhD student.

I am in contact with you because I submitted all documents 1 month ago. However, until now, I still don't receive any responses from CPAM.

So, How can I know that my documents are fine to get the security social number?

Thank you so much.

Bonjour NGO,

Unfortunately, because of safety and confidentiality issues, we can’t reach any of your information or file from this forum.

The processing times vary depending on the type of files and the number of files being processed by your caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM).

If you need help regarding this request, you can contact the CPAM’s English or French Advice Lines.

More information in the following topic: How to call the French Health Insurance Advice Lines?

Have a nice day

Hello,

I'm a new PhD student with a doctoral contract and need to register for a social security number. Could you clarify whether I should register as a student or as an employee?

Additionally, for the birth certificate translation, is there any specific requirement beyond the translator’s signature and stamp?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hello Dierod,

We've already answered a similar question on this forum about your registration.

You will find the answer by cliking on this link : International Phd student - Ameli process?

Regarding the birth certificate, a translation is only required if the birth certificate is not written in one of the following languages : english, german, spanish, italian, portugueses, dutch, polish, romanian, swedish, albanian, hungarian, slovak, csechoslovak, croatian, danish, finnish, latvian, lithuanian, norwegian and turkish.

If you are a Talent visa holder, your birth certificate do not have to be apostilled for your application.

Have a nice day.
