I am an international student who studied in France. I recently moved to Germany for my internship.

On June 12th, after arriving in Germany, I ordered my European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) through my Ameli account. Since I needed the card urgently for my internship, I placed the order right away — but unfortunately, I mistakenly gave my old address in Le Mans (where I lived during my studies) as the delivery address.

Now, the landlord has informed me that my name is no longer on the mailbox, and he is not sure the letter will be delivered. He has spoken to the new tenant, but there’s still a chance that the letter may be lost or returned.

Since this document is very important for my internship, I would like to know:

1. Is there a way to track or confirm whether the EHIC has already been sent?

2. What can I do if the letter is not delivered or gets returned to Ameli?

3. Can I request a re-issue or have the card re-sent to a different address (such as a friend’s address in France)?
