Regarding using expired temporary SSN for Internship Contract

I am a non-European student enrolled in a French business school from 2022. I received my temporary SSN in September 2022 which got expired in Sep 2023. And my French Student Visa got expired in August 2023 as I went to London to do my M2.

Now, I have received an offer for an internship in Paris from Aug'24 to Feb'25. I am still enrolled as student in the Business School as I need few months of work experience to graduate.

The company needs Internship contract from the school. The school is asking for updated Social Security attestation. Can I still give the old temporary SSN for the Internship Contract?

I need the Contract in order to apply for the Internship Visa.

Also, can I start the internship with the old temporary SSN ? Or does it have to be active in order to start the internship?

And

The SSN seems inactive since I've studied another year in a different country and hasn't been renewed. How do I activate it ?

Will the social temporary security number remain the same so that I could use it on my contract as is?

I tried reaching out to the helpline and they said a list of documents that need to be sent by post after coming to France to activate the rights.

The number on my old attestation has 15 digits and starts with 1.

I can do the process of registering again after coming to France but my main doubt is whether can I start doing the internship before getting the updated attestation? Could you please address this query?

The social security number is not required to sign and start a work contract or an intership.

During the Pre-Employment Declaration (DPAE), your employer must establish a temporary technical number (NTT).

If any questions, he can reach the technical supports dedicated to the DPAE or Urssaf (union of recovery of social security contributions and family allowances).
