I recently moved to france about 4 months ago with my husband who is a "Talent Passport – European Blue Card" visa holder and I am on "Talent Passport – Family" Visa.
For the creation of SSN account , we have sent the documents to CPAM address and I have not received the social security number yet to create an ameli account , It is been more than 3 months that i have applied for the application.
I have following questions while the application is getting processed:
1. Since we did not receive the temporary SSN yet , Are we covered with the insurance as we need to visit doctor for few issues and it is still on hold since we do not have SSN ?
2. We sent the application to Nice, France CPAM address , but we were supposed to send it to Paris. When i contacted the customer care , They mentioned that they have forwarded the documents to Paris. Do I need to wait for the reply from Paris CPAM office or do i need to send new application to Paris ?

The processing times vary depending on the type of files and the number of files being processed by your caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM), for your it is the CPAM of Paris.
If you need help regarding this request, you can contact the CPAM’s English or French Advice Lines.

If you have consultations with health professionnals in the meantime, you can keep the "feuille de soins" and send it/them to your CPAM after receiving your social security number.
