next step int student

hi! I got my attestation of entitlements and NIA some weeks ago and I don't know what I'm supposed to do next. The website says "your NIA will be submitted for validation so you can obtain a permanent NIR" how and when is that supposed to happen?

Thank you!

Mar

Hello Mar,

If you have a waiting identification number (NIA) beginning with 1 (man) or 2 (woman), this number gives you the same benefits as a permanent number. However, the ameli account is not accessible and no Vitale card can be created.
You don't need to do anything specifically, your NIA will automatically change to NIR (numéro d'inscription au répertoire), which is the definitive, certified social security number, as soon as your identity has been certified by SANDIA (service administratif national d'identification des assurés).

The processing time to issue the NIR varies between 3, 6 or 9 months, depending on the date your documents were received. If some further documents are requested, your caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) will let you know.

For detailed informations about your file, please contact the CPAM's English speaking line on 09 74 75 36 46.

This line is open from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m.

Have a nice day.
