Assurance Registration Issue

Last year I had applied on https://etudiant-etranger.ameli.fr/

I recieved a certificate of eliibility that was valid for a few months until my visa expired, i recieved mail of docs to send back and a form to fill, I had not done that.

I have a titre de sejour now, I'm still a student, and I need to register again, but theis time do the complete process to get my social security number and carte vitale, but on my account it already says processing completed, and there is no option to delete the previous file.

Any help with this will be appreciated.

J'ai quitté la France en juin 2025 pour retourner aux États-Unis, à la suite de la fin de mon contrat de travail à Paris en mai 2025.
Depuis mon départ, j'ai transmis à plusieurs reprises les documents justificatifs via mon compte Ameli et j'ai effectué plusieurs demandes afin de signaler mon départ définitif de France et de demander la clôture de mes droits à l'Assurance Maladie. Malgré ces démarches, je continue d'être prélevé de 12 € par mois au titre des cotisations. Je vous remercie de bien vouloir procéder à la résiliation de mon affiliation à la Sécurité sociale française, conformément à mes précédentes demandes, et de me rembourser les cotisations prélevées depuis mon départ de France, soit les sommes perçues au cours des douze derniers mois. Je vous remercie par avance de l'attention portée à ma demande et reste à votre disposition pour fournir tout document complémentaire nécessaire.

Short expiry date on Attestation de Droits with a UK retiree S1?

I am a UK retiree and registered my UK S1 at my local CPAM in 2025. I have updated my Carte Vitale several times at the pharmacy. I received an alert through Ameli.fr advising me my eligibility for French health care comes to an end in just one month and to send documents to avoid this happening, but it does not specify what documents. It also doesn't provide a way to send any documents (Alpes-Maritimes). The UK retiree S1 does not have an end date and continues to provide coverage in perpetuity, unless I leave France and advise the UK government accordingly. Even the original letter from CPAM confirming coverage states it is in perpetuity unless I notify a change in circumstances (for example, leave the country). Can you please advise whether a UK retiree S1 should result in CPAM applying an expiry date on my CPAM record, or is this an error? I had expected that my Attestation de droits should always show 1 year of ongoing coverage by CPAM each time I request it, but this is not happening and I believe my account has been coded incorrectly with an expiration date, despite the fact that the S1 doesn't expire and CPAM only registers the S1 to ensure medical costs are reimbursed to CPAM from the UK? Has anyone else had this issue and, if so, how can it be fixed? It creates major issues when renewing France residency each year!

How to Register for CPAM coverage?

I have read all the questions and answers, many of which are very complex, but none similar to this one.

I am a 25 year old German citizen by birth (born overseas to a German parent), but have never lived in Germany and do not speak German. I have lived in the UK and USA and moved to France last year on my EU passport (no visa required). I have private health insurance. I am living off savings and am not employed/working. I also have American citizenship and UK citizenship but, to comply with EU laws, I entered France on my German EU passport. I will not be able to get an S1 from Germany, as I have never lived or worked there. I cannot get an S1 from the UK as these are generally only granted to retirees. The USA doesn't have an S1 equivalent.

As an inactive EU citizen, do I have to live in France for 5 years before I can be covered under PUMA or CPAM? Or, can I just apply for PUMA or CPAM now if I do so as a UK or USA citizen rather than an EU citizen? I'm just confused as to how this all works, as it seems strange that an inactive EU citizen has to wait 5 years (I think) to qualify for PUMA or CPAM, yet a US or UK citizen only has to wait for 3 months?

Can you please help me to understand this and whether, even though I am in France as an EU citizen, it is possible to still apply for CPAM/PUMA via my UK or USA citizenship to get faster coverage?

Hi,

I am a Italian and Australian citizen, and have just moved to France last year. I have never applied for a European Health Card as prior to my move to France I was living in Australia.

Could I please get some assistance in how to get healthcare card? I have my Italian passport however I do live in France and would like to know how to be covered. I currently don't work however I do have proof of residency.

How do I continue cover when my VLS-TS visa is expiring and I am still waiting for ANEF to process my residency renewal?

I received an alert in my Ameli.fr account saying my health coverage will expire in July this year, but I am still waiting for ANEF to even start processing my residency for the next year. ANEF is very backlogged, so I am told my residency extension may not come through before my current visa expires. How can I continue coverage as I live in France full-time as a retiree and am just moving into my own home here. I am told it can take months before my residency will be processed. Do you just need me to upload a copy of the receipt from ANEF confirming they have received the application, or something else. Or, do I have to pay for everything myself after July, collect receipts, and then claim back once the residency is approved?

Hello,
I understand that the below are the requirement to apply for a social insurance number:

• Copy of the passport or identity card;
• The S1106 form "Application for membership in the French health care system" available on the English page
• Certified copy of the birth certificate, the long version one (with the name of your parents);
• Copy of the marriage certificate (if you are married);
• Proof of residency for the past 3 months (utility bills for example);
• Bank account details (RIB - relevé d'identité bancaire/IBAN);
• An S1 refusal form from your health system, if you are eligible and came from an European country;

My question is: I don't want to send my original birth certificate or my marriage certificate from Quebec (already issued in French) because they are the only copies I have. Can I send a photocopy of the certificates? OR certified true copies (copies certifiées conformes)?

I hold a Passeport Talent — Personne de Renommée Internationale. My husband accompanied me on a Family passport talent; he was listed as my financial guarantor in my visa application and is self-employed. I'm here to carry on an independent artistic research.

As an independent contractor, he has no fixed employment contract or pay slips. He sells digital courses online, provides remote consulting services, and teaches in person at various training centres. His income is variable and documented through invoices and bank transfers. His clients are a worldwide French-speaking audience.

Our questions:

1. What documents do I need to register for myself under the Passeport Talent — Personne de Renommée Internationale? In the employment section, I wrote "Artist," but I'm on research, so technically, I'm carrying on the research activities rather than focusing on performing.
2. What documents does my husband need to register independently, given that he has no employment contract or pay slips — only invoices and bank records?
3. Does he need to register with URSSAF / Sécurité sociale des indépendants first, or can he apply to CPAM directly?

Application for Health Insurance Coverage: Egyptian birth certificate - Name Change done in Québec

Hello,

I am registering with the CPAM in Marseille under the Quebec-France social security agreement (no waiting period). I hold a Passeport Talent.

Before leaving Québec, I legally changed my name through the Directeur de l'état civil du Québec and hold an official certificate of name change. The change corrects a transliteration error: my name in Arabic has always been the same, but it was rendered incorrectly in Latin characters on my passport, and my family name was accidentally dropped. I had no time to fix these errors before immigrating to Canada. My Egyptian civil documents, therefore, already reflect the "new" name, as it is simply the correct transliteration of my unchanged Arabic name. My RAMQ attestation (form 2719) is issued under the corrected name. However, my Canadian passport and French visa still show the old (incorrect) transliteration and have not yet been updated.

I also have an Egyptian family record that reflects my new name translated and apostilled.

I read on the forum that I should get a Certificat de concordance from the consulate. I can't get this from the Canadian consulate because I still don't have any ID that bears my "new" name. I have only the certificate!

My questions:
1. Can I register with the CPAM under my new legal name, supported by the Quebec name change certificate, even if my passport shows my old name?
2. Can the translated/apostilled Egyptian family record serve as a civil status document to establish my new name?

I hope this message finds you well. I recently checked my portal and saw that some of my documents were rejected. I apologize for only noticing this notification now. I am currently in the process of requesting new copies of the required documents on my end. I would like to kindly ask for clarification on the following points:

1.) Aside from the “filiation dating from less than one year,” does my birth certificate also need to be translated into French?

2.) Regarding the "certification of registration for the current academic year", would the attached document be sufficient? It is called the Enrollment Assessment Form (EAF), which is the official enrollment document issued by my home university in the Philippines.

I would greatly appreciate your guidance on these requirements.

Once again my travel refund has been refused. I have sent written explaination to CPAM in Angouleme together with all documents.
My doctor delayed giving me the travel prescription so I could not apply in advance (he is a busy man!)
I now try to send other documents online but it refuses to accept dates in advance of the travel !
