In your situation, I advise you to ask the british authorities for a S1 refusal letter that you will attach to your application.

After 3 months of residency in France, you can apply online following the instructions on this topic : "How to be covered if I am not working and I am a European citizen?"

Thank you Fanny for your response but if you’re below UK state pension age you cannot get an S1 form from the UK.

Hello Eddie,

If you are retired of a British company, you should be eligible for a S1 form that allows you to apply for the French healthcare system even if you are not yet the age of the retirement in France.
