When you return to France, you can submit your claim for reimbursement from your ameli web account, section > Mes démarches > Demander le remboursement de soins à l'étranger, or by post using form S3125 that need to be sent to your CPAM (make sure you send the original documents and keep a copy).

You have to send your request to the CPAM where you are living. You can find your CPAM's address on our website ameli.fr, section "Adresses et Contacts".

You may or may not be reimbursed for your cares, after checking your situation and within the limits of the flat rates applied in France.

You should be aware that reimbursements for cares abroad take longer to process than for the ones received in France. A minimum of 4 months is required.

Moreover, cares abroad can be very expensive, depending on your destination, so we strongly advise you to take out private insurance. To find out more about your destination, visit the centre des liaisons européennes et internationales de sécurité sociale (Cleiss).
