Hello wizard,

For your registration, because you were born from abroad, you have to provide the original long version of your birth certificate (with your parents name on it) or a certified copy. If your parents' names appear on you extract of your certificate of birth, it will be accepted.

There is no need to provide a translation of this birth certificate if the original birth certificate is in English (if you were born in the UK, the United-States or Australia for example).

I advice you to wait until you receive your visa before sending your application.

Hello Betty,

The makes sense, so if I have a French contract I can submit the application virtually through the link you provided (https://www.cpam75.depotdoc.fr/assure/depot)? However, according to the link you provided on 'how to apply to French Health Insurance', it states the following are required:

-- A copy of your visa or residence permit,

A copy of your birth certificate translated into French (long version with your parents' name),
if you are working as a "talent passport", please enclose a copy of your work contract.

which clearly states the long version of the birth certificate is required along with an officially translation to French? This contradicts the application form which states "full copy of your birth certificate or an extract of your certificate of birth", meaning an extract version can be used which is all I have right now. Lastly, my visa is being processes and I will likely receive it in a few weeks, should I wait until I receive this to submit the application?

Hello wizard,

CPAM do not request the translation of birth certificates written in english.

You can read this topic about application for passeport talent holders to know how to apply to French Health Insurance.

If you have a French work contract and passeport talent, you have to submit your application to Paris caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM).
