Never received confirmation that my application was received. Had to call English line several times first. <br />2. More than 2 months before I was told that my application was with the correct agent who was going to contact me via phone or email. Never heard anything. <br />3. After 3 months I received a letter asking for much of the same information I had submitted. Maybe a way to slow down the process? I’m an EU citizen.<br />5. I called again for guidance and was told they could not view the letter the agent sent in the system. The person was frustrated.<br />6. Mailed documents (some again) and I waited 2 weeks before calling to confirm receipt but it took me another 1 1/2 weeks to get the English line before anyone answered. “Exeptionally Closed.”<br />7. When I got through, a month after the letter was mailed, they told me that they have no record of receiving my letter. <br />8. They sent an email to my case worker asking him/her to confirm receipt of the letter. I’m not sure I will hear back. At ~6 mo I’m waiting for an email that I’m pretty sure I won’t receive. </p><p>I need my Carte and my Social Security number.</p><p>At least 10 foreigners who have or are trying to settle in France have told me similar stories.
