Hello Alica,

As you are not a student but doing an internship receiving money, you can not request your social security number through the website "Etudiant étranger".

In order to be covered in France and receive a french social security number, you have to send the following documents to your CPAM (caisse primaire d'assurance maladie):

- a copy of your work contract or your first pay slip (if you work) or internship agreement,

- one utility bill, to prove taht you are living in France

- a copy of your passport or identity card,

- a copy of your visa or resident permit (if you are non-European),

- a copy of your birth certificate (the long version with your parents' names),

- a RIB (relevé d'identité bancaire aka the bank details),

- the form S1106 "Application for membership in the french health care system",

Dear Sabine, Thanks for your email but unfortunately I could not locate the answer to my specific question. If you can send me the link of the specific answer, it will be very helpful.

Just to clarify the question again.
1) Since I am having an Internship agreement for 6 months (Jan to June 2024), I was told by my host university that I will not be enrolled as a student and requested me to upload the internship agreement instead of Proof of registration/Enrollment proof/Student ID card. This was rejected as Invalid document.
My question is : Which document can be presented as Proof of registration in the case of 6 months Internship. Is there any standard template which I can request my host university to prepare.
2) The Overall Status is mentioned as 'Conforme'. Does this mean as partially accepted which will provide me a provisional SSN ?
How do I know that my provisional SSN is approved and how much it will take to get a provisional SSN ?
