Hi,
I am EU citizen and will move to France for work. I also need to fill the S1106 form, but I am still not living in France. Can I still apply for Vitale before arriving France, please?

Hi, i tried to call but the problem is that still i don't speak French and I'm facing lot of difficulties because no one speak english or italian. Please suggest me how to do.

Maybe better to go physically and try to talk. How a person that can't still speak french do the necessary without assistance in another language?
Anyway i will wait a reply, but since i took residency in France i have no the right to get assistance in Italy now and without the SSN i can't have also in France, i mean i have to pay everything .
I would just to know status of mi files but it's really difficult.

Processing times depends on the type of claim and the number of files being processed. It depends on your Caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) to another. Please contact your CPAM on 36 46.

You will find other ways of contacting your caisse on our website ameli.fr, under "Adresses et contacts".

Hi, i managed to deposit also papers for TAX number, do you know if the CPAM has an email address where to write to know the status of the file?
Or ate least, can you tell me how many time will require to obtain, more or less?

Hi, thanks a lot, i dropped off form and documentation to CPAM in COLOMBES, now i will wait for an email, if understood right, because they haven't gave me any reicept.

Now I have also to apply for the tax number, but i saw on the form that is required a Social Security number to fill it.
Can you advise me on that? I can start to apply also without social security number?

Hello Raf,

In order to be covered in France and receive a french social security number, you have to send the following documents to your CPAM (caisse primaire d'assurance maladie):

- a copy of your work contract or your first pay slip (if you work),

- to prove that you are living in France:

one utility bill, if you work
or three utility bills for the past three months, if you don't work

- a copy of your passport or identity card,

- a copy of your birth certificate (the long version with your parents' names),

- a RIB (relevé d'identité bancaire aka the bank details),

- the form S1106 "Application for membership in the french health care system",

- if you have children, copy of their birth certificates and passport or ID with the form S3705 "Application to add minor children to one or both parents insurance accounts"

To submit your application, you can find your CPAM's address on our website ameli.fr, in "Adresses et Contacts". This application cannot be sent on the Internet.
