il vous faut remplir le formulaire s1106, à télécharger sur internet. Ne vous laissez pas impressionner par la ligne "n° de securité sociale" ou "n° d'allocataire CAF", il est mentionné en petit "si vous en avez un".

You can use the social security number given

to you in the past. If it was a temporary one but starting with a 2, you will keep it even when it will be certified.

If your rights were closed, you need to reapply for rights to the french social security system. You will find further information reading this topic "Using temporary SSN after it's validity".

There's no need to be registered with the Assurance Maladie to sign a french work contract and before starting a job, you can provide your temporary number to your employer.

The processing times vary depending on the type of files and the number of files being processed by your caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM).

Once your file will be processed, it will reactivate your number and then, you will be able to access the ameli account.

II studied in France from 2022 to 2023. During my studies, I had a provisional social security number. After completing my studies, I applied for a recherche d'emploi visa but did not update my situation in the Ameli system. Now, I have found a job and noticed that my access to Ameli is blocked. I immediately sent all my documentation to regenerate a social security number.

My questions are:

Does the social security number change when it goes from provisional to permanent?
Can I start working while my documents are being processed?
How long does it take to regenerate this number and apply for the Carte Vitale?

Hello mauli,

You can absolutely use the social security number that has been given to you in the past, it will remain the same (if it was a permanent one). But you need to reapply to french social security system.
I invite you to contact caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) calling 3646 or the English advice line 09.74.75.36.46 to know which documents you need to send according to your situation.

Once your file will be proceed, it will reactivate your number and then, you will be able to access the ameli account.
