Thankyou, I phoned a few weeks ago but did not hear back.
I have also moved now, how do I contact with the change of address? And do I need to contact Vanne or Lille?

The processing times vary depending on the type of files and the number of files being processed by your caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM).

If you need help regarding this request, you can contact the CPAM’s English or French Advice Lines. It's not possible to contact the CPAM by email.

I am wondering how to see the progress of my social security number.
I phoned the English speaking lone but haven’t heard anything since.
Is there an email address I can send an email to?
Haven’t received a temporary one yet.

Hello Clare87,

It is not mandatory to have a french social security number before signing a work contract.

Your employer will complete a preliminary statement of employment (déclaration préalable à l'embauche - DPAE) and establish a temporary technical number (numéro technique temporaire - NTT). I invite your employer to contact the technical support for the DPAE or the Urssaf (union de recouvrement des cotisations de sécurité sociale et d'allocations familiales).

After you've signed your contract, you will provide your file with the form S1106 to your CPAM (caisse primaire d'assurance maladie). You will find the information in this topic regarding the registration to the french health system for an EU citizen.

Address is on the website ameli.fr you need to put the number of your department to have the address

On top right there are 9 little squares with « service » click on and then « adresses et contact »

Unfortunately, appointments are only for people already registered in many cities... So i think this will be difficult.

As you don't have yet the contract for now you have to write "sans activité" but you can add that you are signing a contract the /// (date).

About your job; tell them that they don't need your number because you are not french and they should contact CPAM if they don't know what they have to do in this situation.
