Your temporary number will be cancelled only when you will get your permanent number.</p><p>You can ask a new attestation de droits to your caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) if the previous one is expired.</p><p></p><p>A temporary social security number gives you the same rights that a permanent one. The only difference is that you can't order a Vitale card or open an ameli account for the moment.</p><p>The processing times to get a permanent number (starting by 1 or 2). can fluctuate between a caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) to another one.</p><p>Unfortunately, because of some safety and confidentiality issues, we can’t reach any of your information or file from this forum. </p><p>Anyway, if you need help regarding this request, you can contact the CPAM’s English speaking line.
