Hi can I ask how you get a social security number, new to this and struggling with CPAM. THANKS

Bonjour hashim,

A temporary social security number (starting by 7 or 8) gives you the same rights that a permanent one. The only difference is that you can't order a Vitale card or open an ameli account for the moment.

The processing times to get a permanent number (starting by 1 or 2) can fluctuate between a caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) to another one.

Unfortunately, because of some safety and confidentiality issues, we can’t reach any of your information or file from this forum.

Anyway, if you need some help regarding this request, you can contact the CPAM.
