          &lt;div class=&quot;body-bd&quot;&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hi - I just wanted to provide the latest information here as I recently came across this post from a Google Search because I was having the same problem.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I called the English helpline and couldn&amp;#39;t get through.&lt;br /&gt;It kept saying in French that the service is disabled.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;However (!):&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I kept trying and eventually the line opened and I was able to get a hold of an english speaking customer representative. &lt;br /&gt;I asked her about why there is a French message saying that the phone line is closed and she explained that sometimes when they have a lot of calls - they temporarily close this phone line to deal with the amount of calls they have and re-open it at a later point.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So as of February, 2026 I can confirm this English helpline works, it&amp;#39;s just that when it automatically hangs up on you, the line is temporarily closed. Just keep calling throughout the day and it should open again.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

Exactly like that, no &amp;quot;+&amp;quot; or anything. Basically instantly connected to a very helpful English speaking assistant. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;On the official website it says it&amp;#39;s the &amp;quot;(from other countries)&amp;quot; number, but the &amp;quot;(from France)&amp;quot; one doesn&amp;#39;t work. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I hope this works for anyone else trapped in the Kafkaesque predicament.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

However, I guess, I found the solution.So, I called the number 09 74 75 36 46 from France, using my FRENCH phone number. And I&amp;#39;ve got the same thing - greetings in English, and after some voice in French which apparently says that the line temporarily unavailable or so, and after - cut off, so exactly as described here in the thread. I tried this couple of times - same thing.&lt;br /&gt;But, next, I dialed the number from my UK NUMBER (I have two SIM cards in phone). So, you need to dial it as you call in roaming (+33 974 75 36 46), and voilà - you get connected, hear the same greetings in English, but different phrase in French - something about the call will be recorded, and you get in a waiting queue, and I got my call answered in several minutes by very friendly English speaking person, and my question was resolved in minutes.&lt;br /&gt;So, the trick is - call from your foreign phone number while in France. I have no clue what the bug is, or why they designed it such way, but that&amp;#39;s how it is.&lt;br /&gt;Good luck, I hope this will help!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

I have multiple complex questions and my french is not good enough to ask these in french. &lt;br /&gt;Is there an issue with the line? I am on the last stages of getting my Carte Vitale but do not have access to my online account and need the attestation and ability to claim back hospital costs. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thank you for any help&lt;br /&gt;Warm regards&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
