Abandonment of my file, what should I do next?

Hi I am from USA, and I’m currently a foreign student in France. I was just informed that my account was abandoned. I submit my birth certificate multiple time but my proof of civil status was never validated on the internal student Ameli site. I was also not given any reason why it wasn’t being validated. I was given a temporary French social security number prior to this notification of abandonment. I tried calling the CPAM's English Advice Line from the in France which is 0974753646, but after a short message the phone just hangs up and doesn’t allow me to speak to anyone. What should I do next?

If your rights have been opened with a temporary social security number, it is likely that your cpam has abandoned your status so that correspondence can be made through the channels common to all insured persons.

Regarding the refusal of your birth certificate, I cannot give you an answer as I do not have access to your file, for safety and confidentiality issues.

I suggest you to repeat your call to our services by contacting the CPAM’s English or French Advice Lines.
