Been waiting months for my carte vitale.

Good morning. I am registered as a micro entrepreneur and have been registered since June 2024. I have been working through all my docs with the help of an agent. URSSAF was apparently supposed to send all my documents through to you, but it has been many months now and I still haven't heard anything about my health insurance. I have a son who is dependent on me as well, so needs to be added to this insurance. Please can you advise me as to what needs to be done. I am currently paying private insurance which is very costly, whle waiting to be put into the French system. Thank you.

Hello Jeannine,

I advise you to contact a counselor that will be able to help you regading your application to French health insurance as a self employeur and check the information about your status with the union de recouvrement des cotisations de sécurité sociale et d'allocations familiales (Urssaf). 

Then, your caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) will reach you to get some justificatives as your birth certificate.
