Receiving health care and get reimbursed with temporary social security number (start with 7)

Dear staff,

I am currently in the process of requesting my social security number, which CPAM is requesting more documents (regarding my civil status), this could take a bit longer due to complication in acquiring the document.

With the letter requesting the document, I see 'Numero de securite sociale' on the top of the letter. It's an 18 digit numbers, beginning with 7. My question is, if I visit a doctor/hospital, can I use this number to receive the care I need? And what would be the reimbursement process for my case?

Thank you for any answers in advance. Regards,

worawatty

Hello worawatty,

Social security numbers start with 1 for men and 2 for women. If caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) is requesting for documents links to your civil status, your file is incomplete, you can not be covered yet.

However, we do not have access to your file on this forum fulfill with securtity policy of your personal information.

Therfore, I invite you to contact your caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM) to reach a counselor to check your situation.

Have a nice day.
