What to do for a rejected social security application that is not reflected in the étudiant étrangers online portal ?

Hi! I have applied for the social security via the ameli website portal for international students. After 9 months, I only have the provisional certificate but other international students that I knew already had their final certificate that is needed for the residence permit renewal.

When I got myself tested for COVID-19 and presented my provisional certificate, they told me that my dossier was rejected/refused. There was no notification at all either via mail or in the ameli online portal that it was rejected. This is despite saying in the registration instructions that they will notify me if some documents are missing and invalid and have it uploaded on the online portal. However, there is nothing on my online portal that allows me to do so.

What do I do now? Do I have to send all the documents that I uploaded via the online protal once again via mail to the CPAM CPAM de la Vienne Service Étudiants Étrangers? Or who do I call to be able to inquire about my dossier?

Thank you very much!

Yaël

Hello Yaël,

The processing times vary depending on the type of files and the number of files being processed by your caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM).

A temporary social security number gives you the same rights that a permanent one. The only difference is that you can't order a Vitale card or open an ameli account for the moment.

Unfortunately, because of some safety and confidentiality issues, we can’t reach any of your information or file from this forum.

Anyway, if you need some help regarding this request, you can contact the CPAM’s English speaking line, dialing 09 74 75 36 46.

You can also contact the French speaking line, dial 36 46.

Have a nice day
